Since prostitution is legal in Singapore, there are areas with brothels where people can go to blow off some steam.

Geylang is made up of numbered side streets called Lorongs (Malay for “lanes”).
The even-numbered lorongs (14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24) are where most of the legal brothels are located. Each lorong tends to have its own “flavor”.

That said, I consider these parlors as brothels in disguise because the principle is the same.
